The Shasta Mud Run is the signature fundraising event for Shasta Youth Peer Court (Youth Options Shasta). Since 2013 close to 10,000 people have participated in this community event.

YVPC is a 501c3 nonprofit that manages several essential programs serving youth in Shasta County including, Youth Peer Court, Mentoring, Youth Fire Prevention and Intervention, and Shasta Youth Leadership Camp (SYLC).

The Shasta Mud Run directly supports our mission to promote a safe and healthy community by providing positive options for youth.

The event includes a 5K and 10K course with 24 challenging obstacles as well as the FREE “Mini Muddies” kid area. Spectators and families are invited to cheer on their team and enjoy the numerous food and beverages vendors. Live music and a photo booth add to the party and capture all of the memories of the day!

 Each year the Shasta Mud Run attracts 1,500 – 2,000 participants and continues to grow!
